The Electric Rays are an Alternative Rock band formed in March 2009 in Patras, western Greece. The band draw from a wide
range of influences including 60s garage and psychedelia (13th Floor Elevators, Jefferson Airplane, Velvet Underground), 70s punk
and heavy rock (Ramones, Runaways, Penetration), 90s American alternative rock (Pixies, L7, Nirvana) and modern Indie music
(Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Radiohead, Editors, Black Angels). They started playing live in November 2009 in their adopted hometown
Patras, and are currently working on new material for recording and organizing gigs for 2011 in Greece. Apart from
English guitarist Brian Haughton, all the members of the band are originally from Athens.
